I am an amateur clarinetist of twelve years. My teachers have included Benjamin Stokes, Cindi Bartels, and Jennifer Nelson. I have played in the South Salem Wind Ensemble and Symphony, the University of Puget Sound Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, and the clarinet ensemble B NATURAL. While playing with B NATURAL, I served as the group’s in-house arranger and the ensemble performed several of my arrangements during my time with the group. In addition, while studying under Dr. Gerard Morris at the University of Puget Sound, I conducted a portion of the Wind Ensemble’s annual Pops! on the lawn concert.

In addition to performance, I am fascinated with music engraving; as such, I personally engrave my own arrangements. Beyond creating engravings of my own works, I have also created engravings of public domain music to facilitate transpositions and adjusted instrumentation. All of my engraving is done using the LilyPond engraving application. Examples of my work can be seen on IMSLP. Currently available are a typesetting of Duet for Clarinet and Violin by Matthew Hughes and my transcription of Mendelssohn’s Venetianisches Gondellied, Op. 19, No. 6. As my oeuvre expands, more pieces will be available via my composer page and my user pageon IMSLP.
